Mirage is essentially a "double dip" mechanic — you clear a zone, then enter an astral copy to clear it again with wish-based modifiers. Coins from wishes can permanently imbue level 20 gems with support effects, creating 7-link+ setups without Awakened gems.
- Wishes let you choose between loot, currency, caches, or coins — coins are the long-term value play for endgame gear
- Coin-imbued gems are corrupted, so plan your gem progression around this — level to 20, then coin before qualitying
- The mechanic scales with map density and juice since you essentially double the number of monsters per map
- SSF players get deterministic access to support gem effects on skill gems via coins
Take on a rogue sect of the Faridun as they sap the energies of captured Djinn for nefarious ends, and help a legendary Maraketh Sekhema put an end to an ancient war once and for all.
The Afarud, the most depraved and twisted of the Faridun, have formed a pact with Saresh, a powerful necromancer who built an army of undead to seek revenge on the Maraketh.
Deny their twisted efforts towards dominion by joining forces with Varashta and freeing the spirits of Djinn before the Afarud can accomplish their goals.
- You will encounter the physical form of trapped Djinn, imprisoned and tortured by Afarud Warlocks. After successfully defeating them, you will be asked by Varashta to enter The Astral Realm, a Mirage containing an imperfect copy of the world around you.
- Varashta can augment the magic of the Mirage she allows you to enter, giving you the option to choose one of three Wishes before you do so. These Wishes modify the Mirage in powerful and potent ways, transforming the copy within and causing monsters slain to drop powerful loot, currency for enhancing your equipment and gems, special caches, or even strange mysterious coins.
- Fight your way through the monsters, astral hazards, and Afarud mages to the tether holding the Djinn. Shatter this chain to free the Djinn, step by step weakening whatever dark plans the Afarud may have for Wraeclast.
- With 3.28.0, there are Standard, Hardcore and Solo Self-Found variations of the Mirage challenge league available. They have the same core mechanics and items. You can create private league versions of these leagues, with mods that make the game harder.
- The Hardcore variations of Mirage are parented to their Standard Mirage equivalent, meaning if you die in Hardcore Mirage you can continue on in Standard Mirage League.
- The new Mirage challenge league includes a set of 40 new challenges, and 8 new challenges in Ruthless Mirage. Earn pieces of the Orb Regalia Armour Set when you complete 12, 20, 28 and 36 challenges in Mirage, or 2, 4, 6 and 8 challenges in Ruthless Mirage. These challenge rewards are only obtainable in this league.
- From the 19th challenge onwards and for every third challenge after that, you will receive pieces of the Mirage Totem Pole decoration to display in your hideout. The Totem Pole permanently showcases how many of the Mirage challenges you completed during the league.
Major Templar/Holy archetype push. Reliquarian Scion ascendancy rotates each league (meta wildcard). Exceptional Supports replace Awakened gems entirely. 3 new coins create permanent 7-links.
- Reliquarian notables change each league — expect league-start theorycrafting every season. Cannot be Forbidden Flame/Flesh targeted.
- Exceptional Supports are the new chase gems — over 40 of them, endgame-only drops. Awakened gems are being phased out.
- Holy Strike creates permanent weapon-copying minions — potential for scaling both attack and minion damage simultaneously
- Shield of Light is a BLOCK TRIGGER skill — synergizes with Gladiator/Guardian max block builds
- New Runegrafts from Kingsmarch shipping — 10 new ones, may affect shipping meta significantly
- Added the new Reliquarian Ascendancy Class for the Scion. Notable Passive Skills for the Reliquarian borrow from the powers of Unique items found throughout Wraeclast, and will change with each League. For this reason, these Notables will not be available as outcomes for the Forbidden Flame and Forbidden Flesh Unique Jewels.NEW

- Added a new Strength/Intelligence Skill Gem, Holy Hammers: Slam the ground ahead of you, calling down a Holy Hammer from above. On hitting an enemy, another Hammer will cascade forward, repeating if further enemies are hit, up to a cap. A Power Charge can be expended to call down additional Hammers to either side of the initial slam. Requires a Mace or Staff.NEW
- Added a new Strength/Intelligence Skill Gem, Holy Strike: Infuse your weapon with holy energy and swing. Successfully hitting an enemy will summon forth a Holy Armament, which copies your main hand weapon stats to determine its own. These Holy Armaments are undamageable minions, and will attack the enemies you target with Holy Strike. Requires a Mace, Sceptre or Staff.NEW
- Added a new Strength/Intelligence Skill Gem, Shield of Light: Retaliate against a blocked hit with a sweep of your Shield, unleashing a wave of light in a cone in front of you. Additional waves also emanate from allies in a radius around the first target struck, towards that target.NEW

- Added a new Strength/Intelligence Transfigured Skill Gem, Static Strike of Gathering Lightning: Attack with a melee weapon, gaining a Gathering Lightning buff for a duration if you hit an enemy. While you have Gathering Lightning, attacks with this skill will cause chaining beams of lightning, which chain farther the more Gathering Lightning you have.NEW
- Added a new Dexterity Transfigured Skill Gem, Charged Dash of Projection: Channel to project an illusion which you steer. You gain stages while it moves, until it stops at a maximum total distance. Waves of area damage frequently pulse along its path, based on your attack speed. Stop channelling to release the illusion, dealing a final wave of damage. Requires a Melee Weapon.NEW
- Added a new Dexterity/Intelligence Transfigured Skill Gem, Flamethrower Trap of Stability: Throws a trap that releases a number of flames in different directions around it when triggered. The flames last for a duration repeatedly dealing damage.NEW

After a short duration, the projectiles explode, dealing area damage. Using this attack again will reset the duration for all hovering projectiles. Cannot be directly used by traps or mines.NEW
- Added a new Intelligence Transfigured Skill Gem, Orb of Storms of Squalls: Creates an electrical orb that will strike enemies in its area of effect with beams of lightning when placed, as well as when you use a lightning skill while within its area. These beams of lightning can then split to hit more enemies. When striking enemies, this orb will teleport to a random enemy struck. Casting this skill again will replace the previous orb.NEW
- Added a new Intelligence Transfigured Skill Gem, Shock Nova of Procession: Casts a ring of Lightning around you, followed by a larger Lightning nova. Each effect hits enemies caught in their area with Lightning Damage. This then repeats, with each repeat offset from the previous in the direction of your target.NEW
- Added a new Intelligence/Strength Transfigured Skill Gem, Storm Burst of Repulsion: Unleash orbs of energy while you channel that repeatedly jump away from the targeted location until their duration expires, dealing damage in a small area after each jump. When you stop channelling, all remaining orbs explode, dealing higher damage in a larger area.NEW

- Added 13 new Unique Items.NEW
- Added 8 new Divination Cards.NEW
- The "Exotic" sub-stash of the Currency Stash has been split into two new sub-stashes "Atlas" and "League".CHANGED
- Continued to incrementally improve the sound, art, effects and environments.
THE biggest endgame overhaul since Atlas of Worlds. Maps are now generic items — you pick the layout on the Atlas. Favoured Maps removed (no longer needed). Astrolabes create Shaped Regions with escalating modifiers. Chisels effectively removed from the game.
- Generic maps = no more map tab sorting or rolling specific maps. Buy/sell maps by tier only. Massive economy simplification.
- Atlas starts from center with 4 quadrants, each with a Voidstone slot — you can target specific Memory Vault rewards by quadrant
- Astrolabes + Shaped Regions are the new "juice" layer — clearing map objectives in a region buffs remaining maps
- Uber bosses now need only 4 fragments (down from 5) — cheaper access, expect price drops on fragments
- Nightmare Maps replace T17s — 5 total Atlas Skill Points from completing them
- Chisels can no longer be obtained (existing still work). Maven Chisels nerfed 50%. This is a MASSIVE change to map juicing economy.
- Cartographer's Chisel vendor recipes removed. Quality effect on maps halved (10% IQ at 20% quality, down from 20%).
- Sacrifice/Mortal fragments now ADD Vaal side areas to maps instead of opening them directly — more juice potential
- Memory Strands drop from ALL maps after killing Incarnation of Dread — Originator maps less exclusively required
- Scouting Reports are dead. Kirac missions are dead. Entire atlas passive clusters removed.
- Blessed Orbs can reroll Conqueror/Elder Guardian type on guardian maps — new target farming tool
- Extensive changes have been made to the Atlas and how you engage with Maps, without interfering with the beloved core experience. Some of the more frustrating aspects have also been streamlined or removed.REMOVED
- Map items are no longer associated with a specific Map Area. As an example, instead of having a Tier 10 Mesa Map, you will now find a Tier 10 Map. To open a Mesa Map, you now locate and select Mesa on your Atlas, put in your Map item, and activate the Map Device.CHANGEDGeneric Maps — Atlas Revolution
This fundamentally changes how mapping works. No more "I need a specific Strand map" — any map item works for any atlas location. Map tab organization becomes trivial. The entire map trading economy collapses into simple tier-based pricing. Favoured Maps are gone because they're unnecessary. This also means layout-hunters can always run their preferred layout.
- That Mesa Map may drop a Tier 11 Map. You can then place this into your Map Device, which defaults to the last Map run, and either run Mesa again or choose a new Map Area to use it on.
- The structure of the Atlas has also changed, you now begin your exploration at the centre of the Atlas, with each corner housing one of four Voidstone slots.
- All content accessed using the Map Device is now physically present on the Atlas, allowing you to see everything available in the Endgame as you reveal the fog of war.
- All Unique Maps are now present on the Atlas, including some old favourites that are appearing for the first time.
- You now gain 1 Atlas Skill Point per Unique Map completed on your Atlas, up to a maximum of 10. There are around 20 Unique Maps available, so you only need to complete the half you want (not looking at you, Hall of Grandmasters).
- The remaining Atlas Skill Points have been moved to other places, and you can now get more total Atlas Skill Points than before.BUFF
- Eagon now has a new goal and is determined to stop Zana traversing the threads that weave the Atlas together and severing them. He has made use of a new mysterious discovery, Arcane Astrolabes, but by using them to trace her movement they cause dangerous side effects.CHANGEDAstrolabes — New Juice Layer
Astrolabes are the new endgame juice layer replacing Chisels and some atlas passives. Each Astrolabe applies a "Shaped Region" affecting multiple maps in a quadrant. As you clear maps within the region, remaining maps get additional modifiers — creating an escalating reward structure. This incentivizes clearing entire regions rather than chain-running a single map.
- Using an Astrolabe on a Map on the Atlas manifests a Shaped Region in that quadrant of the Atlas, affecting many of the Maps within it. There are many types of Astrolabes, and they apply different types of Shaped Regions.Astrolabes — New Juice Layer

As you clear maps within the region, remaining maps get additional modifiers — creating an escalating reward structure. This incentivizes clearing entire regions rather than chain-running a single map.
- Completing the content added by the Astrolabe will remove the Shaped Region's influence from that Map. Upon doing so, every other Map remaining in the Shaped Region will gain an additional modifier.BUFFAstrolabes — New Juice Layer

As you clear maps within the region, remaining maps get additional modifiers — creating an escalating reward structure. This incentivizes clearing entire regions rather than chain-running a single map.
- Once you have successfully rid the Atlas of the Shaped Region, Eagon will take you to one of the four Memory Vaults, where there are powerful rewards to be had.Astrolabes — New Juice Layer

As you clear maps within the region, remaining maps get additional modifiers — creating an escalating reward structure. This incentivizes clearing entire regions rather than chain-running a single map.
- Each Vault is associated with a specific quadrant on the Atlas, so you're able to target a certain vault if you're wanting to try to get a specific type of reward.
- Interacting with the Map Device now opens the Atlas screen. Clicking locations on the Atlas will allow you to use a Map (and any fragments) to open portals to that specific location.
- Certain locations will require special map items to access, such as Unique Maps, Shaper Guardian Maps, Nightmare Maps, Vaal Temple and locations requiring Map Fragments rather than Map Items.
- As you can now run any Map with a Map Item, the Favoured Map system has been removed.REMOVED
- Memory Skills have been removed from Originator Influenced areas. You can still collect Petals in these areas, which now instead grant a higher chance to find items with Memory Strands.REMOVED
- Several of the effects from the removed Memory Skills have been moved to new bonus modifiers on Altars at the end of Maps within Memory Threads. For example, Killing a Rare Monster consumes 30 Petals if possible to revive the Monster once.REMOVED
- The Decayed Voidstone is now obtained from killing both the Shaper and the Elder. It can also still be obtained from defeating Uber Elder.
- You now receive a Voidstone from killing both the Searing Exarch and the Eater of Worlds (instead of one from each).CHANGED

- The Threads of the Originator Quest line now awards a skill book granting 2 Atlas Passive Skill Points and 2 Atlas Passive Respec Points for defeating each Incarnation boss.
- Tier 17 Maps have undergone significant changes, and are now Nightmare Maps.
- Completing each Nightmare Map now awards 1 Atlas Skill Points (5 total).
- Slightly increased the reward values of Originator-influenced and Nightmare Map modifiers that granted Increased Pack Size or Item Rarity.BUFF
- Slightly reduced the reward values of Originator-influenced and Nightmare Map modifiers that granted More Currency, Maps or Scarabs.BUFFCHANGED
- After obtaining the Voidstone from killing the Incarnation of Dread, items with Memory Strands will now be able to drop from all maps ran on the atlas. More Memory Strand affected items will still come from Originator maps, to retain them being the best source.BUFFMemory Strands Go Global
After killing Incarnation of Dread, Memory Strand items drop from ALL atlas maps, not just Originator-influenced ones. They also drop on higher tier bases with more strands and stronger modifier influence. This massively increases the supply of Memory Strand items and reduces the necessity of specifically farming Originator maps.
- Items that drop with Memory Strands will now more often be higher tier bases.BUFF
- Items that drop with Memory Strands will have more Memory Strands on average.BUFF
- Memory Strands will have a larger influence on the tier of Modifiers present on the item than previously.
- Atlas Bonus Objectives now additionally grant +1% to Map Item Quantity for every 4 Bonus Objectives completed.BUFF
- Uber Bosses now only require 4 Fragments to access (previously 5).NERFUber Boss Access Cheaper
Uber boss access is 20% cheaper in fragment cost. This means more attempts per set of farming, lower barrier to entry for bossers, and likely lower fragment prices. Combined with the 4-quadrant atlas structure, boss farming becomes more accessible overall.
- All Maven Invitations are now accessed through Kirac, rather than some of them being quest items you place into your Map Device.
- Sacrifice and Mortal Fragments can no longer be used in a Map Device to open a random Vaal Side Area directly. Instead, they can be used alongside Maps to add a Vaal Side Area to the opened Map, while still applying their current Map Item Quantity bonus.BUFFFragment Rework — More Juice Per Map
Sacrifice/Mortal fragments now ADD a Vaal Side Area to your map instead of opening one directly. This is actually a buff for juicing — you get the fragment's Map Item Quantity bonus PLUS a Vaal Side Area in your map. More content per map = more loot.
- Sacrifice and Mortal Fragments now explicitly state the Map Item Quantity bonus they apply to areas.BUFF
- Elder Guardian, Shaper Guardian and Conqueror Maps always generate on Tier 16 Maps. As a result, Divination Cards for these items no longer explicitly state the Map Tier.
- Blessed Orbs are now able to reroll the specific Conqueror inhabiting Conqueror Maps, or the specific Elder Guardian inhabiting Elder Guardian Maps. This change does not affect pre-existing Conqueror Maps or Elder Guardian Maps.Blessed Orb Target Farming
Blessed Orbs can now reroll which Conqueror or Elder Guardian inhabits a guardian map. This is huge for target farming — if you need a specific Conqueror/Guardian drop, you can reroll until you get the right one instead of buying specific maps. Blessed Orb demand will increase.
- Kirac no longer offers Atlas Missions, and defeating Map Bosses no longer has a chance to grant Kirac Missions. As a result, the Planar Tactician, Solidarity, Expert Reconnaissance, Commissioned Officer and Expect the Unexpected Notable Atlas Passives and associated small Passives have been removed.REMOVED
- Scouting Reports can no longer be obtained, and existing items no longer function.REMOVED
- The Side Quest Divination Card has been temporarily disabled, and existing copies of this card cannot be traded in.REMOVED
- Cartographer's Chisels can no longer be obtained, though existing items will still function, and Map Device crafting options have been removed. The loss of content and loot here has been compensated in other areas.REMOVEDChisels Removed — Juicing Economy Shift
Chisels are effectively removed from the game. Existing ones still work but new ones cannot be obtained. Combined with the halved quality effect (20% quality = 10% IQ, was 20%), map quality as a juice vector is being dramatically reduced. The economy impact is massive — chisel recipes, chisel div cards, all gone. Budget juicing now relies more on Scarabs, map mods, and the new Astrolabe system.
- The Cartographer Divination Card has been temporarily disabled, and existing copies of this card cannot be traded in.REMOVED
- Temple Architects now drop additional Scarabs instead of additional Map Currency while you have an Atlas of Worlds room in the Temple.BUFF

Tree pruned of obsolete mechanics (Favoured Maps, Kirac missions) and rebalanced. New keystones for Divination Card manipulation and Shaped Region strategy. Several notables significantly buffed.

This keystone makes div cards in your maps come from TWO random OTHER maps instead of the actual map. This is a gambling keystone — you might get Headhunter cards from a random T1 map, or you might get trash. For experienced players, this opens a chaotic but potentially very profitable div card farming strategy.

At 20-30%, you recover far less — builds that relied on this need more life recovery from other sources or risk dying to their own stun damage.
- The Bloodseeker Unique Claw now has 200-250% increased Physical Damage (previously 200-220%). Existing items can be updated to the new values with a Divine Orb.BUFFCHANGED
- Bloodseeker Unique Claw no longer has 5% increased Attack Speed or 5% increased Movement Speed. GGG is shifting ground loot from equipment to currency. With ~6% fewer equipment drops, the "identify everything" strategy loses value while raw currency farming gains. Combined with Exalted/Regal being more common, the overall economy becomes more currency-rich. This favors direct-trade crafting over identify-and-sell strategies.
